Giving a voice to the Kent bird club
The club is holding its 2021 annual show at its monthly-meeting venue of St Marks Church Hall in Gravesend and former club secretary and treasurer, John Gray, is booked to judge.
In a step aside from previous years, the club is not going to leaflet local households and distribute fliers on the high street. As we're trying to re-establish the rhythm of monthly meetings, the focus will be on members. We would most definitely like to see all members, their family and friends we've known for a long time. We would also welcome any public who come along. It's simply that we're not going to publicise the show in the manner we've done previously.
Schedules for the show will start to be distributed at our October monthly meeting (Monday 11 October) and we hope that this year's annual show will act as a springboard for the club as we all start to look beyond the pandemic. The past 18 months has been difficult for everyone although we recognise the extreme nature of the impact for some. We're all looking forward to meeting up with good friends and enjoying each others company among the birds on the day. We hope to see you then. Thanks.
